Why Altspace?

Hi, I'm Becky...and I started Altspace because working from home was slowly crushing my soul!

Back in 2018, I moved to Bansko full-time. I had the dream: mountain views, a flexible schedule, and my daughter happily thriving at school.

But every day, I’d sit alone at my kitchen table and it felt heavy. The silence. The lack of spontaneous chats. The feeling that I was invisible, even while "living the dream."

So I created the thing I wish I’d had: a coworking space that actually makes you feel seen.

Not just with great WiFi (though we’ve got that), but with real, no-pressure community, the kind that turns your workday from something you endure to something you enjoy.

Today, Altspace is home to a wildly diverse and welcoming crew of remote professionals, creatives, and community-minded humans. And I’m still here, every day, not as some distant founder, but as your fellow coworker, event host, and resident "just trying to get sh*t done" person.
