Rules of the Space

General Rules:

• Be helpful and respect other members, staff and guests.
• Clean up after yourself, this includes food rubbish and your dishes.
• There are lots of cafes and restaurants very close by to grab a bite to eat. However, if you choose to eat in the space please consider taking foods with particularly strong odors outside so as not to affect other members.
• If you finish the coffee off from the coffee machine, be a star and rinse out the jug and dispose of the granules in the bin provided.
• Keep to your part of any shared desk space so that members coming in feel welcome to take a seat next to you.
• We welcome creativity and fresh ideas. If you would like to organise an event, or have any suggestions, let a member of the team know so we can work towards making it happen.

Smoking Rules:

• Altspace Coworking is strictly a no-smoking zone, this includes no smoking of e-cigarettes inside the space.
• In addition to no smoking inside the space, please do not smoke cigarettes or e-cigarettes in the garden or on the balcony area.

You may smoke on the street outside the space, there are plenty of benches within a few metres of the space, but please…

• Always dispose of your cigarette butts safely and thoughtfully.

Noise Levels:

• If your voice carries or you are on a particularly long personal phone call, please bear in mind how this will affect other users in the space.
• There is a conference booth and small phone booth type area should you need some private space. The conference booth is bookable in advance.
• If other members or staff are being too loud, kindly let them know.

First One In The Morning:

• If it's cold, pop the heating on (via the air conditioning unit).
• If it's warm, feel free to open some windows, the back doors, or pop on the air conditioning.
• Only turn necessary lighting on, others can switch on what they need when they arrive.
• If you're a coffee lover, pop the coffee on for you, and hit the keep warn button so others can enjoy when they arrive.

Last One Out in the Evening:

• Turn off all the lights in the main area, bathrooms and kitchen.
• Make sure the air conditioner unit is switched off.
• Close all windows.
• Make sure the 2 back doors are locked.
• Make sure the main doors are properly closed and lock behind you on the way out.

Recycling:

• Reduce, reuse, recycle
• Boxes are provided in the garden for recycling of card/paper, plastic and metal. Please place your recycling in the correct box and put the lid back on (incase of rain).
• Mugs and glasses are available at the space for your hot and cold drinks. However we also encourage the use of reusable coffee cups and water bottles if you would like to bring along with you.
